Review,Reflec, Revise
In this challenge, i choose to be here, stay in where i work now, where i be now. previously, i do not think of being in this job position, but there is always a reason behind, WHY people choose to be in this, make sense isn't it? people always have their own reason for what they are doing.
in the 6 part story, the shadow, i picked the mountain, 2nd card.
actually i am quite blur, that time, as i am rushing back from other place.
i do not know what to say " and i say
"The lake dragon was surrounding by the most harmony mountain, and this mountain was used to be as the GOD of TATA, the god of mountain protect the harmony land which the ladies stayed, and it also kept an eye on the black dragon."
Alex feedback, NO, it is about the task! the first card is the main character, then, the 2nd card should be the task, the duty, what the main character need to do?
o... i really do not know what to say, my mind is blank.... and Alex keep asked what is the main character doing? with the card??
so, i need to quickly crack my head and think of a sentence..
"The girl was the guardian of the black dragon. the ladies need to sing in the lake everyday as the villagers believed if she did not do so, it would bring disaster to the village. Only her sweet voice need to sung every evening to comfort the dragon."
the mountain actually had been appear in my personal sandplay
this time, the mountain come again! would be a co-inciddent?
or it is just my personal collective unconscious?
What is the "mountain" for me? How is the "mountain" related to my shadow? Who is be with the mountain? Where is the "mountain" of mine, and How the "mountain: significant to myself? what is inside the mountain? where is the mountain? is there anything interesting?
notes J.C. Cooper,Mountains "are associated with sun, rain and thunder gods and, in early traditions of the feminine godhead, the mountain was the earth and female, with the sky, clouds, thunder and lightning as the fecundating male."
wider imagery of the story, the setting that contains the potential "energy seeds" - dragon - is in the water - lake not in the mountains. If the protagonist is a female (feminine) in the first card, she is looking towards the valley - water/lake (feminine) and not upwards towards the mountain. So the task that is being communicated by the unconscious if it is spiritual, the answer may lies in the water"
i am wondering too... what is this about my mountain, the lake (water) and the dragon..... lies in the water
trying to search to look deep inside... to read it, to understand, to analyze, to intepret ... ...
from the Psychological Meaning:
Mountains represent the lofty, planes of consciousness. It is the realm of the ‘higher self’, the part of you that has higher, transcendent knowledge. If i am dreaming of being at the top of a mountain may show how you now feel that you have risen above the common routines of life and achieved something with spiritual meaning. Conversely, it may show your desire to do this. Mountains can also indicate that you are in touch with or thinking about the higher dimensions of reality. In particular you may be thinking in a positive way about death and the afterlife. On a more mundane level, climbing a mountain may symbolise your sense of achievement and the arduous effort needed for a long-term undertaking. You are on the slippery slopes to success and have the self-determination to reach the summit.

hmm.. does it make sense to me? this is really co-incident again? when we are doing the group reflection, Pris keep us hurry, faster, doing the reflection, as the group need to do the intepretation of the story we create.
i say" I think if looking down from the top of the mountain must be very nice scene. perfect... but, thinking of climbing up the hill, actually make me fear"
what is the fear? as pris asked me to look at the fear, what's the fear is like, actually i am scared of myself!
surprisingly, i have the fear that i afraid i am not able to cope the challenge, the cppd challenge, i can hear my inner self shivering , how do i going to climb up to the top of the mountain? the achievement, the acknowledgment to myself, the place of the dream.... which seeker, thirst for it.... ....i think, i do not want to stay at the bottom of the mountain, i want to reach at the top of the mountain... it's seem i am not satify with what i have now only, the learning is so much... so many things to learn.... maybe there is another mountain again?? but this is the journey.... no rushing...at least i try to go up, and have the different view... walk down to mountain actually is another fear too... slow slow lah... when i am able to walk, i will walk.... walk untill the day can't walk lor...
maybe, i am thinking of upgrading my skill, my knowledge, my profession, to another level,
and i am like a seeker... searching for calmness, meaning, achievement, the soul....... looking for another one of ME!
it make sense???
i am wondering too...
my mountain, the lake (water) and the dragon..... lies in the water

ALS online discussion 19.8.09
suddenly, i have the feeling for this golden long hair white lady, actually she is trying to project the role as caregivers who serve mercy heart, and trying to help the black dragon
the black dragon is like the unfortunate group, who's destructive behaviour was unwated force. the blackdragon is like our shadow, as in Jung theory of psychodynamic point of view, we project what we want the world to see us, PESONA
the PESONA is our behaviour, our way of interacting to the world, the human, and the PESONA is the preferred behavior that we want people to perceive on OUR SELF
looking at myself and my group created story, i can see that our group have the heart of the helper, a heart to serve the community, to work with the group of people that at the border of the society. me, personally was working under department of social welfare, priscilla and Cheng is working for children with learning difficulties and as well as trauma group, Melinda, phaik nee and seok binn is from working and homemaker, they have the heart concern on the children, the passionate feelings to work with the groups.
the caregivers is always play a role to help, to give, to serve and without any hesitating, they willing to take care of others welfare instead of themselves. they have the compassionate feelings offer to HELP
ya... nomatter how hard the situation, the golden long hair white lady will overcome the obstacles in the journey if life. no doubtful, sometimes we will get lost in the journey, we will face the question from outside, from the society, the client, or even ourself, ARE we DOING THE RIGHT THING?
hmm... i think the believe, the faith is important. very very important. i believe for each of us who are continue is this helping profession have strong beliefe on life, and on human. if not, they will run away from here long long time already, if not, there will not be so many people joining in this helping profession, be volunter, para counsellor, social work officer and etc...
when we are facing with the obstacles, please must not forget the vision, the original voices in ourself...
when we able to hold the value, we will never walk from deviant... we will be able on the right way to get to the destination
the working partner is very important too...
when we lost, we have the helper, our life partner, friends, colleague and also teacher walking besides with us... no matter how fear we are, we will never go to the ends... fight untill the last breath....
because, we are not alone....
we have support, we have beliefe, and with this faith, the journey can be continue...
it's really match with the moral of the sory
LIFE JOURNEY OF TRUST, GETTING IN TOUCH WITH INNER STRENGTHS AND FOLLOW YOUR HEART TO MAKE IT REAL.
straight the star above the sky and hit the moon ^.~
dearest my AlS members
cheng, melinda, phaik nee, priscilla, and seok binn
of course, never i forget, y dear "c fu" - alex chew
with you all walking together, i feel lucky and feel so great! because u girls are my inspiration too...
sign up the course make my life in Department of Social Welfare colourful ^.^
nice to be with you~~
* and of course...
the journey also teach me, i have to look at myself... my insight! the shadow that with me, and look at the darkness side too...
6th Card: The world, Dove and The Golden Girl
The Doves was behind the right of the golden hair lady with rend colourful eyes shirt, and with a small world planet of earth infront. the background of the picture is in Blue colour. In the English language, blue often represents the human emotion of sadness, e.g. "He was feeling blue".
The sadness of the golden hair lady left behind with the peace and the world around byherself again!
5th Card: Unicorn
Earliest references, of the unicorn portray it as fierce yet good, selfless yet solitary, but always mysteriously beautiful. The unicorn could only be captured by deception; the single horn is believed to be able to neutralize poison (Wikipedia). This may be a reflection of our unconscious self, sometimes only sensed emerging indirectly into our consciousness
The Unicorn in this picture, is just look so handsome, attracive, lovely and strong. Unicorn is heading to my left hand side, forehead to front like waiting to fly.
Where is the unicorn exist? is it exist in the deep forest? is Unicorn able to fly? i always see in movie unicorn can fly.... where is the wing? maybe the wing is invissible. we can't see via normal eyesight!
3rd card: witch
According to Jung, the shadow, in being instinctive and irrational, is prone to project: turning a personal inferiority into a perceived moral deficiency in someone else. Jung writes that if these projections are unrecognized "The projection-making factor (the Shadow archetype) then has a free hand and can realize its object--if it has one--or bring about some other situation characteristic of its power." [3] These projections insulate and cripple individuals by forming an ever thicker fog of illusion between the ego and the real world.
Jung also believed that "in spite of its function as a reservoir for human darkness—or perhaps because of this—the shadow is the seat of creativit
4th Card: waterfall
water is a common symbol for fertility, growth, creative potential {especially is it takes the form of a reservoir or still lake}, new life, or healing
Water is also a symbol for the unconscious. Deep water, oceans, seas, large lakes often symbolize the collective unconscious. Smaller bodies of water may symbolize the personal unconscious.
WATER is a feminine symbol, representing either your own femininity {whether you are a male or female}, or your mother. It is therefore important to note your reaction to the water in your dream. Are you afraid of water in real life? This may mean you are afraid of women {if you are a man}, of your mother, or of your unconscious {hidden aspects that can be emotionally disturbing when brought to consciousness}. Reference: Eric Ackroyd
In the article, it is intepretation about the dreamd of water. WATER can be my own ferminity. HOW i LOOK at water? how i perceived them. Am i love water. of course i do. without water, i think i can't live. so do my mother, withouth my mother, i won't be here today... i gueess
The picture of this water fall look so serenity, ppeaceful and comfortable. if i am able to swim, in this waterfall, it must be fun!
2nd card: mountain
Mountain can be symbolize as obstacle, climbing over one or passing through a range; indicates overcoming obstacles or making progress, or climbing up a mountain or other height often indicates spiritual or mental "rising" or improvement
Mountains can also be used to create a secluded, isolated or hard to reach place. Such a place could symbolize loneliness or difficult to achieve mental, spiritual or emotional states.
Throughout history, mountains have symbolized constancy, eternity, firmness and stillness.
Mountain tops, notes J.C. Cooper, "are associated with sun, rain and thunder gods and, in early traditions of the feminine godhead, the mountain was the earth and female, with the sky, clouds, thunder and lightning as the fecundating male."
On the spiritual level, observes Cooper, "mountain tops represent the state of full consciousness." Cooper notes that pilgrimmages up sacred mountains symbolize aspiration and renunciation of worldly desires.
The profoundest symbolism of the mountain, Cirlot notes, is one that imparts a sacred character by uniting the concept of mass, as an expression of being, with the idea of verticality.
http://www.symbolism.org/writing/books/sp/2/page6.html
Can MOUNTAIN be a holy place where one can find solution, which attract the good and bad seekers. Can it be the knowledge or the consciousness that we are seeking is hidden there?
the tall trees, water-lake, 2 patches of white clouds - growth and the unknown,
1st card: Golden Long Hair White Lady
White is the color represents purity, neutrality, sterility and youth.
White is often associated with cleanliness or sterility and neutrality
In Western tradition the bride wears white, a custom dating back to Ancient Greece.
White also a linking of the color to virginity and is known for symbolizing light, reverence, purity, truth, snow, peace, innocence, cleanliness, simplicity, security, humility, sterility, winter, coldness, surrender, fearfulness, unimaginative, air, death (in Eastern cultures), life, marriage (in Western cultures), hope, bland, empty (interior) and January (winter).
The golden long hair lady with white skirt standing alone at the lake side, with the back to audience. Her hands clasped together and like so lonely. Looking at this picture, somehow, if go deep, some questions arises from the bootom of my heart:
- What is the lady doing there? Is She a young lady (i prefer she is young)?
- Is she wearign a wedding gaun? white colour normally represent the serenity, pure, innocent and grace. Is this lady waiting for her man?
- Or, it is actually the lady has been left by someone she loved, and she is attempting to suicide by jumping into the water.
- Is she on vocation? just thinking to take as short break and to go to lakeside to relax herself?
Lakes have a strong association with symbolic aspects of the feminine archetype.
J.C. Cooper in An Illustrated Encyclopaedia notes that they are often the dwelling place of monsters or magical feminine powers, such as "The Lady of the Lake." In the Chinese symbolism of the Pa Kua the lake is the Tui symbolizing collected waters, receptive wisdom, absorption and passiveness.
The structure of lake symbolism may be related to the space aspect of place symbolism and specifically the symbolism of level J.E. Cirlot in his Dictionary of Symbols suggests that this is the case and that this symbolism:
"...equates all that is on a low level spatially with what is low in a spiritual, negative, destructive, and hence fatal, sense. The fact that water-symbolism is closely connected with the symbolism of the abyss serves to corroborate the fatal implications of the lake-symbol, for the part played by the liquid Element is to provide the transition between life and death, between the solid and the gaseous, the formal and the informal."
This symbolism of level is associated with water because, as Cirlot notes, water always alludes to the connection between the superficial and the profound. In this sense, a lake symbolizes a fluid mass of transparency.
Traditionally, lakes have symbolized the peaceful, contemplative life where one goes to escape from the reality of the world. Many vacations center around lakes and not surprisingly, the romance genre of stories often uses lake settings. This contemplative symbolism of lakes is mentioned in the ancient Chinese Book Of Changes:"Lakes resting on the other,The images of the joyous. Thus the superior man joinsWith his friends for discussion and practice."
As Laurens van der Post notes the Book Of Changes "personifies the lake and makes it the image of the feminine value with the greatest future possibilities of increase, calling it the youngest of daughters in a house with many mansions." Jung himself as a child, notes van der Post, was convinced that no one could live without water and he meant lakes mainly when he spoke about water.
With lakes, the universality associated with the seas and oceans is made specific. Van der Post points this out saying:
" ... the macrocosmic sea microcosmically contained in the earth and so made a comprehensible source of nourishment to the life and spirit of man. It reflects and draws into its own deeps and so into the heart of the earth all that it's opposite, the sky, represents and possesses of illumination and height, becoming a kind of mediating factor between two great poles, two opposites of reality: a dark, earthly principle and another of light and celestial sky and all the values they stand for."
This mirror symbolism of lakes is empahsized by Cirlot when he writes that "the lake - or rather its surface alone - holds the significance of a mirror, presenting an image of self-contemplation, consciousness and revelation." A lake most likely offered the first mirror to man to see his reflection in and the reflection of the sky above. Interestingly enough, Narcissus died from looking into his reflection in a lake for too long.

Hair in general represent energy (Juan Eduardo Cirlot, A dictionary of Symbols) . hair also signify fertility, and also correspond to the element of fire. Golden hair is related to the sun's ray and to the whole vast sun-symbolism.
The long golden hair, is signifies spiritual development. In India culture, hair is significant, they will keep the long hair, in Ancient Chinese legend or culture, women will keep their long hair and to cut the hair to give to the loved one as significant representation of the man she loved. The long golden hair with white make me attract to HER, and look at her...
the power insight, the femine, the curiousity.........

Once upon a time, in the
When Tanya was a little girl, her grandmother told her the story of back dragon that stayed deep below the lake…. And it would emerge if awakened! The villagers were very fearful of that day as disaster might occurred. The white witch casted as spell on the black dragon because it was doing the bidding of the witch, burning and destroying the village so that the people would be at the mercy of the witch.
Tanya being the first born of the 5th generation of white witch ancestors, also carried the birthmark of the Dove on her palm, inherited the roles of Guardian of the black dragon. Tanya knew that this was a very important role and she worried that she migt not be able to take up the task, which sometimes left her felt very sad .
Every evening Tanya never failed to stand by the

However Dhalia did not kill the Black Dragon at that time, because she knew that whatever action the dragon did was of it’s own will but was under a strong spell of Marshila. As Marshila was not so hideous at that time, Dhalia was able to render Marshila powerless at the time. One moon ago, Marchila stole a magical stone from the Elves World and began to regain her power bit by bit. Now, she thought it would be the right time to awake the black dragon and put into her power again and do her bidding.
Firstly, she knew that she needed to stop Tanya from singing to the black dragon. One day, she grabbed the opportunity and created a fog as thick as pea soup, making it almost impossible for anyone to see through. This was followed by a dreadful thunderstorm, strong wind blew and uprooted the trees. The sound of crashing waves was deafening. Poor Tanya could hardly find the way to the lakeside to do her ritual.
Tanya knew she must remain calm and listened to the voice within to follow the crystal clear sound of the waterfall. She closed her eyes and let herself to be led by the sound of water fall. The pure sound of the waterfall led Tanya in the direction of the lake so she could get there to sing.
It was a struggle for Tanya to walked in the darkness towards the sound of the waterfall. Tanya was very exhausted and worried, she then realized that she was actually walking up-hill and cried for help. She was about to give up, when she touched her birth mark on her palm and prayed to God Tata.
There was a splash of light and suddenly a unicorn appeared in the middle of Tanya's pathway. The Unicorn bent its two front legs and allowed Tanya to climb on its back. It then flew her out of danger and back to the lakeside. When Tanya reached the lake she saw the beginnings of waves forming at the middle of the lake and without wasting anytime she started singing.
As Tanya went on singing louder and louder, the song sounded sweeter and sweeter. The Unicorn was such an inspiration and sign of confirmation that Tanya was no longer doubted on her ability and was so confident of her singing that she sand whole heartedly. At that the Unicorn took leave and went back to his resting place.
Tanya felt a sense of relief that she was in time to save the villagers and bring peace to Dragonwille. The villagers came out from their huts and danced in joy. Tanya continued to sing and spread her loved and care, even to the black dragon in the lake.
As she gazed a far in deep thoughts…with mother earth in her heart and being able to breath again while the white dove spreads the good news of peace and love to mankind. However, Tanya needed to be watchful, to warn the villagers if the Marshila the wicked witch decides to strike again.
The moral of the story:
LIFE JOURNEY OF TRUST, GETTING IN TOUCH WITH INNER STRENGTHS AND FOLLOW YOUR HEART TO MAKE IT REAL.

online supervision @6.8.2009
Character: Once upon a time, there was a beautiful lady who stayed near to lake Dragon. She was pretty, sweet and generous. In the lake, there was a black dragon who stayed deep in the lake.
Task: The lake dragon was surrounded by the most harmonious mountain, and this mountain was used to be as the GOD of TATA, the god of mountain protected the harmonious land where the sweet lady stayed, and it's also kept an eye on the black dragonThe sweet lady was a guardian of the black dragon in the deep sea. Each evening, she had to sing a song to comfort the dragon in the sea. According to the legend in their village, the lady was needed to do this task if not… the villagers believed there would be a disaster on their village
Obstacle: At the Forbidden Mountain, there lived a wicked witch who wanted the black dragon to wake up from its sleeps to create havoc to the town. So, every given opportunity she tried to stop the sweet generous lady from coming and sing her song. At one time, she made a thunderstorm so bad that the lady could hardly find the way to the lake.
Helper: The sound of the waterfall would lead her in the direction of the lake so she could get there to sing
Turning Point: The witch would try all her best to stop the sweet lady to follow the sound of the waterfall by creating a false waterfall sound to lead the sweet lady to the other direction of the mountain and she get lost.(Suddenly a unicorn appears in front of her and brings her back to original lake where the black dragon stayed). Came late from SB so cannot add –
Aftermath: Lost in the thunderstorm and not able to hear the sound of the waterfall which was created by the witch, the sweet lady listened with her heart and found the way to the lake taking one step at a time. As she hummed the tune of the song, the path seemed clear for her taking every step... She felt relief that she was able spread her love and care to the black dragon at the bottom of the lake by singing to it...The black dragon decided not to emerge from the lake and gave peace to the world while the dove spread the message of love to all.
